Christopher “Coach” Rivers brings over four decades of studying, researching, teaching, coaching, achieving, and applying first person life experiences.
Born and raised in Oakland, California, he witnessed firsthand the effects of how irrational emotional choices can bring about life altering decisions. He made a commitment as a teenager to always pursue endeavors involving education, self-development, and entrepreneurship.
Over the years he has been mentored and coached by countless individuals that contributed elements to this platform.
Today, he is driven to help others succeed and to pay it forward.

ON FIELD EXPERIENCE
Rivers began his coaching career as an undergraduate at UC Davis in 1992. This love for molding and guiding young people eventually evolved into a career in teaching at St. Joseph-Notre Dame High School (Alameda, CA) and Garfield Elementary School (San Leandro, CA). Nonetheless, coaching always remained his true passion with multiple seasons on the sidelines at basketball, youth football and lacrosse games as well building a track and competitive cross-country program in the process.
Rivers would eventually take key relationships built through coaching and transition into a career in sports management at global brands Adidas and Reebok. He is recognized for overseeing some of the industry’s most iconic exposure grassroots basketball event properties and playing a role as a brand athlete manager in the careers of NBA All-Stars, MVP’s, and future Hall of Famers. It was during this eighteen-year period as a respected industry executive that he started laying the foundation for motivational speaking and professional leadership coaching.
